Happy Friday! This has been a fast week, and I would love to sit down and have coffee and a chat with you. If we were having coffee today...
...I would start by telling you that we are about to be buried under snow. It can be really pretty coming down and to watch it pile up and know you don't have to go anywhere, but when the forecast is for 15-24+ inches of snow and blizzard conditions, it makes you worry a little. They've already cancelled school in town so at least I don't have to worry about taking Gus to preschool.
...I would tell you, with a little squeal, that on Saturday, I had a treasury that I made featured on the front page of Etsy for the first time. Not quite as big a deal as having an item on the front page, but still pretty darn cool. I was so completely excited by this, I took a screen shot. I couldn't help myself.
...I'd tell you that I did a quick guest post for Heidi this week. I shared my super quick and easy blueberry muffin recipe, which I make a lot with Gus as my helper. I'd tell you to pay her a visit because I would love for you to try the recipe. I already made two batches this week.
...I'd tell you again how excited I am for the Better Life Bags giveaway that's running right now. It's such a great cause and it's wonderful to give them some support. I'd encourage you to enter, if you hadn't already, because their bags are so awesome.
...I'd lament to you that even though I have a ton of new materials sitting in my workspace right now, calling to me, I haven't had time to do anything with them. We have had a really busy week, and I haven't been able to squeeze in the amount of alone time I need to make anything. If you follow me on Instagram, you'd see that I started work on a new bag, but I didn't get to finish it yet. It's really frustrating. I'm hoping that maybe with the snow I might get some time to work, since I won't be able to leave the house.
...I'd share with you that I'm having a big sale on baker's twine in my shop. I'd tell you that I don't plan on selling it anymore, so if you've been waiting for a good time to buy it, now is that time! If you follow me on social media, there's even a little more of a discount. I'm trying to move my shop toward one clear theme, and I feel like I have a little too much going on in there right now.
...I'd share this series with you from Sarah at yes and yes. She's dong nine random nice things over the course of nine days. Her ideas are simple and easy, and I can't read to see what else she comes up with. I'd ask you if you ever did random acts of kindness such as these. I feel like it's something I would like to do sometime in the future.
...I'd also share my latest find from the library. Yes, those are homemade Pop-Tarts on the cover. I actually got a whole new stack of books this week that I can't wait to dive into.
...I'd tell you that I'm going to go pour a second cup because it's just looks like that kind of day. I'm hoping it will be productive. I'd ask you what's new with you, and I'd tell you to stay safe if you are also in the blizzard's path. I'd wish you a great day and a great weekend, too, and I'd thank you for having coffee with me today. It's such a nice way to wrap up the week.

Love the coffee picture at the top. I'm still on my first cup, but I also think it's going to be a two cup kind of day! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that you guys must live in the blizzard zone, but you sure do deal with a lot of them. At least you can enjoy a cozy weekend in the house.
ReplyDeleteI would tell you that I'm also really excited for your giveaway and I hope I win. :-)
I would tell you that I've been drinking mostly tea since we got our new kettle, but I switched back to coffee yesterday morning before my test. And then I was a jittery, twitchy mess until early afternoon. Ugh.
i would tell you that i have NO idea what to do with baker's twine, but omg...i want to buy all of yours. it's so so sweet!
ReplyDeleteand today is library day for us and i can't wait to see what awesome newness we find. yaaay!
have a great weekend, new friend!
I would tell you that I think I need all that bakers twine. Seriously. I want it. Seriously...
ReplyDeleteI love the baker's twine and all the colors it comes in. Have a good weekend and we are getting a blizzard here too. So let's both enjoy the snow!
ReplyDeleteOf course I'll have coffee with you. Today is a coffee day because I woke up tired. I woke up at 9am and I went to bed fairly early. Just one of those days I'm tired.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your frustration with not being able to finish a project. I hate it when I have an awesome idea in mind and I have to wait a few days until I have the time. I will share though I manage to make some new pouches and I'm hoping I can get them listed this evening or tomorrow. Currently my day job is taking precedence.
I would also say stay safe during the storm. I spoke to my baby brother today and he told me they canceled school even though it wasn't that bad in morning. Of course he wasn't too happy because he's counting down to graduation.
Anyway, I hope your day is awesome!
Should have had two today too! I opted for a nap instead:)
ReplyDeleteI would very much enjoy a cup of coffee with you!! Be careful in the snow! We got a snowstorm here and yesterday's drive to work wasn't much fun. The sun is out today, but it's COLD... Woke up to minus 6 degrees! I am anxious for spring.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of the Bakers Twine!!
I hope you're staying safe in the snow storm! I had a snow day yesterday, and haven't left the house today either.
ReplyDeleteI've been entering the Better Life Bags giveaway though! I'm super excited about it.... I hope I win! I actually had deactivated my facebook for a while, but re-activated it so I could like some new pages and get a few entries. :)
