Anyway, I found a really fun handmade-of-the-month:
fair ivy designs monthly surprise packages chock full of handmade goodies for you to send to someone as a fun gift or to send to yourself, because who wouldn't love a little package like this:
or this:
Talk about a fun little pick-me-up! fair ivy has four different types of packages you can send: fair ivy for ladies, fred ivy for men, fun ivy for girls and the young at heart, and fur ivy for your furry cat and dog pals. Take a look at some of the types of lovely items that may be included in the box:
(dog not included)
Pretty neat stuff, right? And you don't know exactly what you're going to get, so that's half the fun! Each gift category offers a one- to four-month subscription of surprise packages, and each month contains something different. The best part: fair ivy supports handmade shops and small businesses, and they are eco-friendly, using recycled-material boxes and krinkle paper and trying to purchase locally to reduce travel emissions.
And the best best part? fair ivy wants to give you something! One of you very lucky readers will win a fair ivy one-month mini package. Woo hoo! Here's what you need to do to enter (and you don't need to be a follower of this blog, although I would love it if you decided to hang out):

I think the best surprise I've ever received was the scrapbook my husband made for me when he proposed. It chronicled our entire relationship, and he had even saved every movie stub up to that point. Way cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
So SO fun! I've subscribed to the newsletter. The best surprise I've ever gotten was similar to Paige's -- when my husband proposed, he sent me on a scavenger hunt. All the clues were printed and put in handmade envelopes. He saved all the scraps of the paper he used for the envelopes so I could use the coordinating paper for scrapbooking the entire thing. :)

ReplyDeleteThe best surprise I've ever given is on my friends 21st birthday I got him 21 gifts! They were all individually wrapped and hidden like a scavenger hunt and he had to go fine them. It was definitely a great surprise because he never knew what he would get next.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win and good luck to everyone :)
I'm following Fair Ivy on twitter and facebook as well :)
ReplyDeleteThe best surprise I ever gave was a book for my sister and brother-in-law's 10th wedding anniversary with all of the funny things their 2 kids had said as toddlers and preschoolers.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best surprises that I received was a bunch of gifts throughout the day from Andrew on my birthday. He'd teamed up with a bunch of my co-workers and they secretly dropped each gift off throughout the day without me knowing. Finally, at the end of the day once I got home, he surprised me with a final gift-- my SLR Nikon that I currently use to shoot my photography.

ReplyDeletewhat a fun idea! my biggest surprise ever? For my 18th birthday some friends broke into my house, blind folded me, didn't say a word, threw me in a van, and drove me to iHop at like 3am. I was scared out of my *&^$in mind.

ReplyDeleteMy best surprise that I have received in recent years (because my memory lapses) was this Christmas - my husband got me a vintage sewing project basket. The surprise part was that he actually went on Etsy to find it!! And I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThe best surprise I have ever received was from my now husband. At the time we were dating it was our first Valentines Day, he was enrolled in his Master's program so he left very early to get to classes. I wasnt expecting anything, thought we'd maybe rent a movie or go out to dinner, his schedule was very hectic at the time. I woke up to find little notes taped on the mirror that were clues to gifts he had hidden all over our apartment! The grand finale gift was a book that you could have customized it was entitled "Jessica's Adventures in Wonderland" (Instead of Alice, it's my favorite Disney cartoon, book, and the inspiration of my tattoo). It had a beautiful (personal) dedication in the front as well. It was truly the best surprise (second only to his proposal lol).
